Is it allowed to obtain seeds?



Can I request a refund or exchange for my order?

  • No, once a purchase is completed, it cannot be changed or refunded. This decision is final.
  • If your order has a tracking number, it can’t be exchanged or refunded, so please keep this in mind.
  • Please note that orders with a tracking number are considered final and cannot be returned or exchanged. However, adjustments can be made if there is no tracking number.
  • Refunds for packages with tracking numbers will be issued if they are unopened, undamaged, and marked as ‘returned to sender.’

What is the origin of my order?

  • If you’re in Canada, your order comes from Vancouver, British Columbia, and should arrive in 3 to 7 days.
  • For other destinations, orders are sent from Los Angeles, California, with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 7 days.

What if my seeds have a germination rate below 80%?

  • Please contact us and provide details about your attempts to grow the seeds. We will evaluate the issue and offer guidance to improve your results in the future.

How can I get complimentary seeds?

  • You can receive a free seed by giving us a perfect five-star rating.
  • Additionally, if your purchases exceed $420, we’ll include ten extra seeds at no extra cost.
  • Please check our Sales page for information on current promotions and free seed offers.

How can I avoid paying shipping fees?

  • Orders totaling $200 or more qualify for free shipping.

How can I submit photos?

  • You can send your pictures to vancouverseedbank@gmail.com. 
  • If you want your images featured on our social media, please email vancouverseedbank@gmail.com with the strain’s name and pictures.
    • You can choose whether you want your social media account information to be publicly displayed or kept private.

International Shipping Information

  • If you intend to ship items outside of Canada, the United States, or US Territories, it will be classified as an international delivery. To proceed with such orders, you must either spend a minimum of $200 or purchase at least 20 seeds.
  • You are responsible for covering any applicable taxes, fees, or extra charges related to international shipments. We employ discreet shipping methods, so it’s crucial to provide accurate email addresses and phone numbers specific to your respective country when placing an order.
  • Please be aware that if you make a purchase from outside the United States, we cannot process exchanges or refunds for your order. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an 80% germination rate for seeds shipped internationally.
  • While we cannot provide an exact delivery date, we will provide you with a USPS tracking number, allowing you to monitor the progress of your shipment. 
  • We offer various payment methods for international customers, including:
    • MoneyGram
    • Bitcoin
    • Cash or International Money Order
  • Regrettably, we are unable to accept credit cards from other countries. Ensuring the accuracy and quality of your shipping information is imperative.

  • For the convenience of our valued customers, we display prices in USD. However, if you’re buying from Canada, you can choose your country during checkout to see prices in Canadian dollars.
  • We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards from customers in the United States and Canada. Additionally, we offer the option to make payments with Bitcoin.

  • Please make money orders and mail transfers payable to Vancouver Seed Bank. If you include ‘Seeds’ in the memo, we will hold the shipment until we receive further instructions.
  • E-transfer is a valid payment method for orders within Canada, and we also accept electronic MoneyGram payments.
  • Please be aware that for deliveries and purchases exceeding USD/CAD 420, we will need to verify your identity. Transactions over this amount cannot be reversed.
  • Discount coupons cannot be combined with ongoing deals or promotions. 
  • When placing a new order using cash as your payment method, you can only apply seed credits or coupons from previous purchases. If you wish to apply credits, discounts, or payments to your current order, kindly request assistance from one of our representatives.

Delivery & Shipment Issues

  • All sales are considered final, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur during the shipping process.
  • Orders with a subtotal below $200 will incur a standard shipping fee of $20.
  • For our US customers in all 50 states and US territories, shipments are sent domestically from Los Angeles, California, via USPS Priority Tracking.
  • Canadian customers’ orders are shipped domestically from Vancouver, BC, using Canada Post.
  • Packages are typically shipped with an estimated delivery time of 3-7 days from the day the tracking number is applied. Please note that this timeframe may vary depending on the postal carrier.
  • In the event of any delays or issues after the package has left our warehouse, the receiver or customer must file a claim with their local mail carrier. Below are the links for filing claims:
  • Packages that are lost in transit or stolen will require a Postal Service claim number for reshipment. 
  • Packages with a confirmed “Delivered” status will also require a Postal Service claim number. Secondary packages must be shipped with signature verification or updated address information for added security.

Germination Guarantee

  • We are unable to honor any germination rate below 80% unless our recommended germination method, provided with every order, is followed precisely.
  • To ensure the seed’s survival, it should be placed in plain potting soil after the taproot has developed. 
    • NO nutrients or NO fertilizers 
  • Once sprouts emerge from the soil, the Germination Guarantee is considered met, and the overall outcome of the plant is the responsibility of the grower’s personal method.
  • Please be aware that all sales are final, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided.
  • Vancouver Seed Bank cannot be held responsible for any environmental responses that the plants may exhibit.
  • We promise an 80% germination rate for any pack size when the germination guide is correctly followed.
  • We will not honor any germination attempts using any water source other than bottled spring water. Tap water, reverse osmosis (RO) water, distilled water, well water, and similar sources do not qualify for replacements if the germination rate falls below 80%.
  • Please note that no Germination guarantee will be provided for seeds placed in a bag, covered in any way, or subjected to a seed heating mat during the germination attempt.
  • Each order is eligible for a one-time product replacement.
  • Orders can qualify for the germination guarantee up to two years after purchase if the seeds are stored correctly, and the proper germination method is followed.
